Upcoming VPN Upgrade: AnyConnect vs. Secure Client

On Wednesday, June 5, 2024, Cisco AnyConnect VPN (also known as CUVPN) will be updated. Functionality will not be changing for staff, faculty, or students who use the service, but Cisco is making a name and icon change that could cause confusion.

Reminder: Transition to Strong NetID Encryption Requires Some Account Holders to Update Passwords

Starting March 12, 2024, Cornell will begin enforcing strong encryption for Cornell NetID passwords. Some Cornell accounts that are not yet configured for strong encryption for password protection need to be updated before the change takes place. Updating an account to strong crypto is triggered by the account owner changing the NetID password using the Cornell Manage Your NetID webpage.

Degree Audit Platform Available to Select College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS) Majors in Coming Months

The Degree Audit (Stellic) platform is Cornell's Ithaca & Cornell Tech campuses’ upcoming online degree management, planning, and auditing tool. The platform, which has been in development since fall of 2023 will launch later in 2024 to advisors and students within a small subset of CALS programs.
